The factory intake pulls air through tight, restrictive piping sitting right over a hot engine bay, meaning your VQ37VHR is often breathing air that's already heat-soaked before it reaches the throttle body. This kit is front-mount, positioned outside the engine bay entirely, pulling in true ambient air instead of the reheated stuff circulating under your hood. At highway speed, that advantage compounds: less time near hot components, more consistent airflow, and a ram-air effect that keeps the charge cooler exactly when you're pushing the car hardest. Expect air being pulled in to be up to 60°F cooler.
